AskPatty.com and Female Friendly Certified Dealerships
Women purchase the majority of the vehicles sold in the United States each year, spending billions of dollars a year in new car purchases. Yet, shopping for and buying a car can be a challenge for women who are first time car buyers or for women who had a bad experience in the past with a car salesman or dealership.
Women can ask Patty for automotive advice when they go to www.askpatty.com and click on the “Get Advice” link. Or you can shop with an Ask Patty Certified Dealer where you can shop in a safe and comfortable environment where women feel welcome and a dealer that makes the experience of purchasing and maintaining her vehicle a pleasant one.
There's also Womanars, where a female mechanic will teach you about auto maintenance. It's no surprise when their advisory panel includes Deborah Renshaw, NASCAR Professional Driver; Lauren Fix President, The Car Coach; and Kathy Gilbert, Director Dealer Sales & Business Development; and Bernice Sanders, Aftermarket Sales Director, Primedia Consumer Automotive Group.
I haven't seen such needed and savvy marketing to women since iVillage.com launched, so check it out!

The advisory panel is a major element to the AskPatty site. It is the breath behind the whole concept and I encourage all women on the Web with some stake or interest in their automotive ventures to exercise the use of this panel. AskPatty is one of if not the only profiting blog in the automotive industry and I think that says a lot about the overall concept. You can check the del.icio.us page I created with links to all things AskPatty. There are a lot of good videos to watch along with other PR items, plus this entry as well.
